legitimate criticisms of feminism:
-transmisogyny and the lack of inclusion of transwomen
-the racist history behind it and the lack of inclusion of woc
-ignoring and invalidating women with disabilities
-pretty much anything that falls under lack of intersectionality
-internalized misogyny and girl hate
-promotion of political lesbianism
illegitimate criticisms of feminism:
-a feminist was really mean to me once
-they’re sexist against men
My favourite thing in the world is when guys say stuff like “Girls, take it from a guy; we prefer you with no makeup” etc etc as if girls just wear make up to impress guys
as opposed to
because they want to
and by favourite, i mean i hate those guys
Look everyone, a feminist!
This is the first time I’ve been called a feminist I’m a 20 year old man in pyjama pants
"I would say at least 90% of women in this field have been molested by an authority figure, usually at an early age. And what that does is teaches the woman that sex is one of the only talents she has."
"I was molested. By an uncle. From 8-11. I finally lost my virginity at age 19, it took me a long time to be able to do it."
"Another factor is being exposed to porn at a very early age. It desensitizes you to the harder stuff."
Reagan Center, rather than interviewing the women and then calling them back later, he tells them at the end of his interview that they need to have sex with him for free. He claims that showing producers these videos will guarantee them an income. He tapes the whole thing for his pleasure, including convincing them to sleep with him.
"I feel it gives me the motivation to refer the talent, so it’s perfectly ethical." - He says.
"I mean, by calling me they are saying they want to have sex on film, and that’s exactly what I’m giving them."
Only one woman ever said no. He was ABSOLUTELY INSISTENT. He has an answer to every reason she gave for refusing.
"I don’t have time."
"Yes you do."
"No, I really don’t have time."
"It will only take a second."
"I’m very selective about who I work with."
"Well, this is how clients are marketed."
By the end, the woman is clearly angry, but is vulnerable, as she is at this time naked in front of him on a bed, and he is fully clothed with a video camera.
Most people interviewed, male or female, were asked why they did this, and responded with,
"For the Money."
"I’m only in it for the money."
I realized I could make more money than by modeling.”
"It’s disgusting, but what can you do. I’m in it for the money."
Well, I have a problem with this.
(Not the concept of treating women/people gently, but the idea that they are so much weaker and lesser than men/males).
pt. 1 of a series entitled “I thought you said you liked long hair…”
women in our society grow up believing that body hair is unnatural, and that the removal of hair is a ritualistic practice to be done as often as possible. we see ads for shaving creams featuring long, lean, hairless legs being caressed by a man. we see hairy women being automatically labeled as man hating feminists or as being unkempt, dirty, and lazy. we want women to look like girls; hairless, fresh, clean, and new. we’re scared of aging, of growth, of change, and so we shave, and we wax, and we pluck. body hair makes society cringe, and so we put in the work.
In “I thought you said you liked long hair…” I attempt to address the problematic ways in which society views hair. Long hair is the ideal, but only if it’s in the right place. So to the countless men who have told me that they prefer women with long hair, you’re getting what you’ve asked for.

Does anyone else see the irony in the elephant being the symbol of the Republican Party?
Elephants live in matriarchal groups where males are excluded except to breed. They’re herbivores and are known to be highly empathetic to other elephants as well as their dead; if one elephant in the group is in trouble, all the other elephants will pitch in to help it out. They also practice collective raising of the young, with young elephants being tended to by all members of the herd.
You guys, elephants are socialist vegan feminists who support public education.
It’s also worth mentioning that most elephants are bisexual.
I hope I’m an elephant next time. :)
